Garrett is Dam - Funk's alter ego for his introspective, ambient instrumental modern funk sound. The music on 'Private Life III' is similar to some works from 'Toeachizown' and Dame's early Stones Throw EPs. If you love this type of funk, you're likely familiar with 'Private Life I' and 'II'. Now, this series concludes with this third and final edition on Music From Memory. Dame's musicianship and vibes are unparalleled, as heard right from the side A opener 'Chasing The Clouds Away'. Tracks like 'Hang Glyde' and 'Pushin' are uptempo, while 'Room With A View' slows things down. 'Knowing' and 'Timeless' show his g - funk skills are still sharp. The beatless 'Memories' offers a perfect break with balearic synth soloing over warm pads, maybe a nod to the label. The 10 - minute 'Watching The Skies' closes this chapter and signals a retreat to Private Life. This is a black vinyl pressing from Music From Memory in 2020. Reviewed by Fusilli Jerry in 03/2021.

To enjoy this vinyl LP, first, make sure your turntable is set up properly. Place the record gently on the turntable platter and use the tonearm to lower the needle onto the start of the groove. Sit back and enjoy the amazing funk music. When you're done listening, lift the tonearm carefully and return it to its rest position. Then, take the record off the turntable and put it back in its sleeve. Keep the record in a cool, dry place to prevent warping. Avoid touching the grooves with your fingers as this can leave oils and dirt, which may affect the sound quality. If the record gets dirty, you can use a record cleaning brush to gently clean the grooves. That's all you need to know to have a great experience with your Garrett: Private Life III Vinyl LP.
