Description

Three years after '22, A Million', Bon Iver is back with a brand - new album 'i,i'. The band has evolved over time, as described in a press release: from the winter of 'For Emma, Forever Ago' to the frenetic spring of 'Bon Iver, Bon Iver', the unhinged summer of '22, A Million', and now the early fall of 'i,i'. This album combines the fried cerebral electronics of '22, A Million' with the buttery brass arrangements of 'Bon Iver, Bon Iver', highlighting Justin Vernon's vocals. Vernon says it's his most adult and complete record, showing a new perspective. Tracks like 'Hey, Ma' feature his soaring voice over lush synths. 'Jelmore' has a glitchy, OP - 1 - heavy sound, while 'U (Man Like)' is a stripped - down Prince - esque cover. 'Faith' starts acoustically and builds to an electric crescendo. 'Salem' mixes krauty grooves with vintage afrobeat keyboards, and 'Sh'Diah' is an atmospheric false coda. The album has many collaborators including James Blake, The National's Bryce and Aaron Dessner, and more. It comes in a black vinyl pressing, housed in a matte gatefold jacket with spot gloss accents and a clear printed slipcase. There's also a full - color 28 - page booklet. The music label is Jagjaguwar 2019. Reviewed by Wisconsin Death Trip in 07/2019.

To enjoy this Bon Iver vinyl LP 'i,i', simply place it on your turntable and let the music play. When handling the vinyl, make sure your hands are clean to avoid getting fingerprints on the record, which can affect the sound quality. Store the vinyl in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight to prevent warping. When not in use, keep it in the provided slipcase to protect it from dust and scratches. The booklet inside is a great addition, so don't lose it! You can flip through it while listening to the album to learn more about the music and the band.
