Headspace by Levitation Room follows their acid - soaked 2016 debut Ethos. Formed in Los Angeles in 2012 by Julian Porte and Gabriel Fernandez, who started in a punk band The Hits, the band later added drummer Johnathan Martin and bassist/vocalist Jonathan Thiemens. Headspace combines soul, R&B, and heavy rock, enhancing their debut's garage - rock sound. Tracks like 'Mr. Polydactyl Cat' open with warping electric guitar over smooth organ, while '2025' offers twangy psychedelia. 'Stars Speak Softly' is an AOR ballad, and 'Ooh Child' gives a West Coast spin on classic soul. This record comes in a beautiful die - cut sleeve with reversible artwork, pressed on indie exclusive 'blood splatter' colored vinyl. It's limited to 250 copies and includes a digital download.
