Step into a cosmic musical journey with Mamman Sani's Taaritt. This vinyl LP is a gem, presenting ancient Saharan folk ballads reinterpreted through cosmic and ethereal synthesizers playing with drum machines. Recorded between 1985 - 1988 in Niger and Paris, these previously unreleased home recordings blend ambient library music and minimal wave. The tunes are on par with Hailu Mergia or Yishak Benjaw's Ethio - grooves, filled with sweet melodies and positive vibrations. Standout tracks include 'Ya Bismillah', 'Gosi', and 'Dangay Kotyo'. The cover art by Maria Joan Dixon shows a Tuareg alien spaceship over Niger's Agadez Grande Mosque, fitting for this interstellar sonic adventure. With 8 tracks in total and released by Sahel Sounds in 2014, it's a must - listen on black vinyl. Reviewed by Ralphy Corduroy in 02/2019.

To enjoy this vinyl LP, first, make sure your turntable is clean and in good working condition. Gently place the record on the turntable and use the tonearm to carefully lower the needle onto the first groove. Sit back and let the cosmic sounds of Mamman Sani transport you. When you're done listening, lift the tonearm and return it to its rest position. Then, remove the record from the turntable and place it back in its sleeve. Keep the vinyl away from direct sunlight, heat, and dust to maintain its quality. If it gets dirty, you can use a vinyl cleaning brush to gently clean the grooves. Avoid touching the grooves with your fingers as the oils on your skin can damage the record.
