The Illinois space rock band Hum is re - issuing its classic 1995 album 'You'd Prefer An Astronaut' on 180g translucent green colored double vinyl. This album, featuring the alternative radio hit 'Stars', is a real gem. The band was involved in every stage of the re - mastering, lacquer cutting, and manufacturing. The artwork has been updated by the original designer Andy Mueller and is housed in a gatefold sleeve. Licensed from Sony Music, it was re - mastered by Ryan Smith at Sterling Sound in Nashville. First released in 1995, it now comes from the Earth Analog Records in 2023. Also available is Hum's 'Downward Is Heavenward' on 180g colored vinyl 2LP.

To enjoy this vinyl album, first, make sure your turntable is clean and in good working condition. Gently remove the vinyl from the gatefold sleeve, holding it by the edges to avoid fingerprints. Place it on the turntable and set the tonearm to the starting position. After use, carefully put the vinyl back into the sleeve to protect it from dust and scratches. Store it in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Avoid stacking heavy objects on top of the vinyl to prevent warping. If you notice any dust on the vinyl, use a soft, anti - static brush to clean it before playing.
