Description

The sophomore studio album from New York's DIIV. Zachary Cole Smith set high expectations for DIIV's second album. It's been almost four years since their debut, Oshin. Is The Is Are doesn't completely reinvent the band's sound but makes it much more interesting. With seventeen tracks spread over four sides, it continuously draws you in. Soaring guitars blend into waves of sound while vocals barely reach the surface. The album's ebb and flow contrast with DIIV's debut's steady pace. On Is The Is Are, the whole band contributes, with every instrument asserting itself and expanding the sound. It includes songs like 'Dopamine', 'Dust', and 'Waste of Breath'. Released by Captured Tracks on special colored vinyl with extras. This is a special limited edition. LP 1 is pressed on clear + white marbled vinyl with blue & yellow mixed in, and LP 2 on clear + white marbled vinyl with pink & red mixed in. It comes with an alternate double - sided 12' x 24' wraparound cover, a 32 - page chapbook of art & poetry, two 12 - page 12' x 12' lyric + art booklets. Each LP is in its own printed sleeve and includes a download code. Music label: Captured Tracks 2016.

Using this vinyl record is easy. Just place it on your turntable and use the tonearm to drop the needle on the starting groove of the track you want to listen to. For best sound quality, make sure your turntable is on a stable surface. When handling the vinyl, hold it by the edges to avoid getting fingerprints on the playing surface, as this can affect the sound. After listening, gently place the record back in its sleeve to protect it from dust and scratches. Store the record upright in a cool, dry place. Avoid exposing it to direct sunlight or extreme temperatures, as this can warp the vinyl. If the record gets dirty, you can use a vinyl cleaning brush to gently remove dust and debris.
