Before Sonny Moore became the Grammy - winning Prince of dubstep, Skrillex, he was part of the band From First To Last, based in LA and Tampa, Florida. In 2003, they signed with Epitaph Records and later moved to Capitol Records in 2006, recording 5 albums and touring under these labels. 'Dear Diary, My Teen Angst Has A Body Count' is their debut full - length album. With screeching vocals, shredding guitar, driving bass, and aggressive rhythms, it's 37 minutes of pure emo/screamo/post - hardcore goodness that has aged well over 10 years since its release. Tracks like 'The One Armed Boxer vs. the Flying Guillotine', 'Note to Self', 'Emily', 'Populace In Two', and 'Secrets Don't Make Friends' are must - listens.
