Description

Originally released in 1981 on Rough Trade, Heartbeat is the first of many amazing albums by ex-Throbbing Gristle members Cosey Fanni Tutti and Chris Carter. These records are super important to the synthpop genre. They're menacing yet playful, ironic and well - researched, gloomy but hopeful. The album uses custom analog electronic equipment and sampling, along with Cosey's spoken vocals and cornet playing, continuing the experimental path. It starts with a claustrophobic synth howl for 'Put Yourself In Los Angeles', then gives way to Adrian Sherwood - like sampled voices and buzzsaw synth riffs. 'This Is Me' has murmured vocals and heady synth textures, a haunting schoolyard chant. 'Moving Still' features synthesized chimes and warm chords. The title track 'Heartbeat' closes the album, sounding like a slow - motion Human League track. Pressed on purple vinyl, it comes with a printed insert of vintage press clippings. This limited - edition LP from Conspiracy International 2019 is highly recommended. Also available are Chris & Cosey's Trance and Songs Of Love & Lust on colored vinyl.

To enjoy this Chris & Cosey Heartbeat vinyl LP, just place it on your turntable carefully. Make sure the turntable is clean and in good working condition. When handling the vinyl, hold it by the edges to avoid fingerprints and scratches. After listening, put the vinyl back in its sleeve gently to protect it. Store the LP in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat. If there's dust on the vinyl, use a soft, anti - static brush to clean it. Enjoy the unique synthpop sounds this album has to offer!
