Mancunian producer Andy Stott has long explored the edges of techno. His 2011 EP, We Stay Together, took a distinct turn, with a dark and gloomy sound and slower beats. The heavy Passed Me By continued this path, but 2012's Luxury Problems changed things. Working with his old piano teacher, Alison Skidmore, her vocals added a fresh lightness to his intense productions. In Faith In Strangers, they team up again. Skidmore's breathy, operatic vocals float beautifully over Stott's dense soundtracks. Tracks like 'Violence' and 'On Oath' are full of ambience, while others lean towards heavier beats, still with a unique sound. This 10th anniversary repress comes as an arctic pearl colored double vinyl pressing, limited to 500 copies. It was originally released in 2014 and is from the Modern Love 2024 label. Also available is the black vinyl 2LP version.
