Description

Indulge in Middle - Eastern flavored jazz - funk with a psychedelic twist. Finnish maestro Jimi Tenor has an amazing career, making IDM for Warp Records in the '90s and Afrobeat funk for Strut in the 2000s. His collaboration with Fela Kuti's drummer Tony Allen in 2008 was a hit. Now, on his Ronet Records label, he stuns with a powerful 4 - track 7" vinyl for the Finnish movie Cinema Dadaab. The movie is about the residents of Dadaab, one of the world's oldest and largest refugee camps, using film as an escape. The tracks blend Middle Eastern tones, psychedelia, and avant - garde, like a mix of The Heliocentrics, Mulatu Astatke's ethio - grooves, and Lloyd Miller's Persian jazz. A must - have release! It has 4 tracks and was released by Ronet Records in 2018. Reviewed by Ralphy Corduroy in January 2019.

To enjoy this vinyl, simply place it on your turntable and let the music play. Make sure your turntable is clean and in good working condition. When handling the vinyl, hold it by the edges to avoid fingerprints and scratches. Store it in a cool, dry place, standing upright in a record sleeve to prevent warping. Avoid exposing it to direct sunlight or extreme temperatures. If the vinyl gets dirty, use a record cleaning brush to gently remove dust and debris. That's all you need to do to keep this great record in top shape and keep enjoying the unique jazz - funk music.
