Description

The fifth studio album from the acclaimed British singer and producer! Recorded during the pandemic at his LA home and Electric Lady Studios in NYC, 'Friends That Break Your Heart' is James Blake's most personal and subdued work yet. After his earlier EPs and LPs with brooding dubstep parts, this album follows 'Assume Form' with a more upbeat, hip - hop influenced sound, focusing on lyrics and collaboration. Blake teams up with SZA, JID, SwaVay, and Monica Martin, and has Joji and Metro Boomin' on production. Tracks like the title track and 'Say What You Will' show a vulnerable solo Blake. It comes as a black vinyl pressing, housed in an embossed sleeve with alternate cover art, and includes a printed lyric insert. The music label is Polydor, released in 2021 and reviewed by SHH! in 10/2021.

To use this vinyl LP, first make sure your record player is in good working condition. Gently remove the vinyl from the embossed sleeve, holding it by the edges to avoid fingerprints. Place it on the turntable and set the stylus carefully on the groove. Enjoy the rich, warm sound of the music. When you're done listening, lift the stylus gently and return it to its rest. Then, put the vinyl back into the sleeve to protect it. Keep the vinyl in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat to prevent warping. Also, avoid touching the playing surface as dirt and oils can affect the sound quality. If the vinyl gets dirty, use a proper record cleaning brush to gently clean it in a circular motion.
