The iconic NYC house classic is back in print! In 2005, when we first stocked this, DJ Ayres said, 'Dance' was his first house record, given by an older Chicago DJ. It's a perfect intro to house music, especially if you were into hip - hop like he was. The B - Side, 'Hot Music' by Soho, is a legendary b - boy house record. 'Dance' is crafted from samples, not drum machines or synths, with minimal filters and effects, giving it a gritty, raw appeal that dancers love. The 4 - bar drums - only intro in the club mix is great for doubling and cutting, as seen in Derrick May's Mayday Mix CD. Originally released on the Kool Groove Label in 1989, Earth People and Soho are Pal Joey aliases. The 'Bonus Beats' version simplifies things with the same powerful drums but fewer loops. It's released under the Cabaret 2016 label and was reviewed by a dancer in 12/2016.
