This album combines the electronic sounds of '22, A Million' with the brass arrangements of 'Bon Iver, Bon Iver', highlighting Justin Vernon's vocals. Vernon says it's his most mature and complete record. The tender 'Hey, Ma' features his soaring voice over synths and vocal effects. 'Jelmore' has a glitchy sound like '22, A Million', while 'U (Man Like)' is a stripped - down Prince - style cover. 'Faith' starts acoustically and builds up to a guitar crescendo.
