Description

Mutual admiration can be hard to express, especially between different generations. Phoebe Bridgers grew up listening to Bright Eyes, and her tender songs about the perils of intimacy show this influence. This shared style led to Oberst guest - starring on Bridgers' 2017 debut, laying the groundwork for this full - length collaboration. There's a bit of sonic resemblance to Bridgers' other recent project, the folk - indie supergroup Boygenius (featuring Julien Baker and Lucy Dacus). But Oberst's diverse style keeps this from being just a rehash. The influence of Digital Ash In A Digital Urn is evident in the throbbing synth of “Exception To The Rule”, and “Big Black Heart” has intense pop - punk riffs and vocals that turn into a sharp howl. Nick Zinner of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs delivers great guitar work on two tracks. A solid rhythm section provides a punchy backdrop for the acoustic instruments, creating a grand stage for these two unlikely rock stars. This vinyl comes as a black pressing, has a printed inner sleeve, includes a digital download, and is from the Dead Oceans label in 2019.

Using this vinyl record is easy. Just place it on your turntable, gently drop the needle on the starting groove, and enjoy the music. When handling the vinyl, make sure your hands are clean to avoid getting fingerprints on the surface, which can affect the sound quality. Store the vinyl in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources to prevent warping. If the record gets dirty, you can use a record cleaning brush to gently remove dust. For a more thorough clean, you can use a record cleaning solution and a microfiber cloth. Remember to be gentle when cleaning to avoid scratching the vinyl. When not in use, keep the vinyl in its sleeve to protect it from dust and scratches.
