The third studio album from Austin's Spencer Stephenson, known as BOTANY. 'Deepak Verbera' takes a wild turn from Stephenson's earlier beat - driven works. It's a cosmic adventure filled with free jazz, psychedelic rock, and deep ambient elements. You'll find many peaceful moments, like the floating arpeggiated keyboard in 'Appears (Mini Verberum)' or the intense droning choirs in 'Valediction'. Stephenson uses collage in his compositions to create uplifting ambient passages that bring a sense of broken - up euphoria, reminiscent of great moments from Stars Of The Lid and Boards Of Canada. This album has ten tracks and is released by Western Vinyl in 2016. It comes on transparent yellow vinyl with white splatter, housed in a full - color sleeve, and includes a digital download code.
