Mitchel Van Dinther, known as Jameszoo, delivers an outstanding debut for Brainfeeder, the label linked with the 'modern evolution' of jazz. 'Fool' is a lively blend of jazz and electronics. The Dutch producer views traditional jazz details through a forward - thinking musical perspective. 'The Zoo' re - imagines Steve Kuhn's '70s song 'Pearlie's Swine', with Kuhn providing vocals and Rhodes expertise. Brazilian composer Arthur Verocai adds samba guitar to the groovy jazz fusion of 'Flu'. 'Teeth' offers exciting organ and violin moments before a digital climax.
