One of the biggest party anthems from the '90s, 'Puerto Rico', is now available on 7-inch vinyl thanks to All City Records. I first heard this track on Funk Flex's The Mix Tape Vol. 1: 60 Minutes of Funk. Years later, when I got the 12-inch, I was stoked. This song is a real crowd - pleaser, bringing people of all ethnicities together at parties. It still has the power to shut down any event! Recently, I saw a party boat on the East River. When the DJ played this song, the crowd went wild, and I could hear them from afar. The record is simply brilliant, built on a vocal snippet from DJ Grand Wizard Theodore's Live Convention '82 on side A, and the B - side features the street classic 'Boriquas On Da Set'.
