Heavenly is the debut proper EP from Glare, an alternative/shoegaze band hailing from Rio Grande Valley, TX. Over the years, Glare has refined their heavy shoegaze sound, as heard in previous singles like 'Into You' and 'Void In Blue'. On this new release, they've honed their songwriting and rhythm, influenced by classic bands such as Slownave, My Bloody Valentine, and Cocteau Twins. Heavenly is a blend of love, loneliness, and anger, all communicated consistently through beautiful noise, swooping guitars, and lush vocal patterns in each song. 'Bloom' starts with a guitar - drum burst and the endearing line 'Your smile blooms one on me', while 'Ghastly' closes the EP with a haunting guitar and drums, reflecting on the world's current state. This EP compiles the first 2 singles from Glare. It comes on colored, single - sided vinyl (audio on side A only), includes a foldout poster, is a limited edition of 1000, was originally released between 2017 - 2018, and is under the Sunday Drive label in 2024.
