Discover the essential album by Hungarian jazz guitarist Gabor Szabo, 'The Sorcerer'. Originally recorded in 1967 at Boston's Jazz Workshop, it captures the excitement of Szabo's group in 1967 - 1968. His quartet, featuring Jimmy Stewart on guitar, Louis Kabok on bass, Marty Morell on drums, and Hal Gordon on percussion, offers eastern - tinged renditions of Sonny and Cher's 'The Beat Goes On' and Cole Porter's 'What Is This Thing Called Love', along with Szabo's originals and covers of French pop and bossanova tunes. This album brought Szabo to the larger pop consciousness. It comes in an 180g black vinyl pressing, a Verve By Request edition pressed at Third Man Pressing in Detroit. Remastered from the original analog tapes, it's housed in a gatefold sleeve with liner notes. Originally released in 1967, the music label is Impulse! in 2023. There are eight tracks in total.

Using this vinyl LP is easy. Just place it on your turntable, gently drop the needle on the starting groove, and enjoy the music. When handling the vinyl, make sure your hands are clean to avoid leaving fingerprints or dirt on the surface. Keep the record away from direct sunlight and heat, as this can warp the vinyl. After each use, return the record to its sleeve carefully to protect it from scratches. Periodically clean the vinyl with a proper record cleaning brush to maintain the sound quality.
