Emotional Rescue and HMV Record Shop Japan proudly present Ernest Ranglin's single cover of The Dramatics' R&B classic 'In The Rain'. A key figure in Jamaican music, Ranglin's career stretched from mento to reggae. He played on the iconic 'My Boy Lollipop' and worked with legends like the Skatalites, Jimmy Cliff, and Bob Marley. In 1982, he moved to Florida and teamed up with Noel Williams, mixing Williams' bass - heavy sound with his unique playing. This 1983 rare reggae cover features Miami's top musicians like Bobby Caldwell, Timmy Thomas, Betty Wright, and Williams. It perfectly blends R&B and reggae. Nik Weston offers an instrumental dub to let Ranglin's playing shine. It comes as a black 7' vinyl pressing, released by Emotional Rescue in 2021.
