This is the third album in Luaka Bop's 'world psychedelic classics' series. Once again, David Byrne's label takes you on a musical journey through 70s African sounds. It's not just funky music. The tracks range from baroque acid - laced rock to familiar afrobeat grooves. Tunji Oyelana's 'Ifa' and the Super Eagles' 'Love's A Real Thing' (sounding like an African LA Carnival) mark the two ends of the funk - rock spectrum. Dahomey's Orchestre Poly - Rythmo shows a great blend of genres with 'Minsato Le, Mi Dayihome'. There are also some nice latin cuts, like 'Allah Wakbarr' for traditional music lovers. Check out Moussa Doubia's JB - inspired 'Keleya' and Sorry Bamba's 'Porry'. These ten tracks on two vinyls are a unique and interesting addition to afro music collections. Using this vinyl record is easy. Just place it on a record player, adjust the tonearm gently over the start of the groove, and let the music play. When handling the vinyl, make sure your hands are clean to avoid getting dirt or oils on the surface. After each use, store the vinyl in its sleeve to protect it from scratches and dust. Keep it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat to prevent warping. Don't stack heavy objects on top of the vinyl. If you notice any dust on the record, use a soft, anti - static brush to clean it before playing.
