This vinyl is incredibly funky and clean! The re - press sounds way better than my 'clean' original copy, truly capturing Funkadelic's heavy essence. Every track on this album is a funk/rock gem. The title track, 'Maggot Brain', features arguably the best guitar solo in rock history. George inspired guitarist Eddie Hazel while on 'Yellow Sunshine' to play the first half like he heard his mom died, and in one take, the 10 - minute psychedelic masterpiece was born. This album ranges from slumping funk and rock to gospel and blues, with a spontaneous feel that has influenced dance, hip - hop, and pop producers for years. Check out 'You and Your Folks', 'Super Stupid' with its Jimi Hendrix - like vibe, and 'Hit It and Quit It'. It's a classic! This Euro import on the original Westbound label has 7 tracks.
