In 2013 and 2014, during Makaya McCraven's In The Moment sessions, Jeff Parker moved from Chicago to Los Angeles. Once settled, he revisited home recordings and beat projects dormant on his hard drive for years. With a long - standing study of vinyl sampling and beat conduction, his new LA home, full of experimental R&B, jazz, and electronic fusions, inspired him to work with more purpose. The New Breed is a retrospective album. Musically, it pays tribute to his influences like J Dilla, Thelonious Monk, and Charles Stepney, using fragments of his life's work. Patrilineally, it's a collaboration with his kin, tied together by family photo album clippings. This is Parker's most vibrant and personal work in 11 years with only his name as the lead artist. Bonus: Jeff Parker's In - Store DJ Set at Turntable Lab NYC. It features jazz & beats cut - ups from Tortoise guitarist and multi - instrumentalist Jeff Parker, comes as a black vinyl pressing, includes a printed insert and an obi strip, and is from the music label International Anthem 2016.

To use this vinyl LP, first make sure your turntable is clean and in good working condition. Gently place the LP on the turntable and use the tonearm to lower the needle onto the lead - in groove. Enjoy the rich sounds of Jeff Parker's jazz and beats. When handling the LP, hold it by the edges to avoid getting fingerprints on the playing surface. After use, carefully place the LP back in its sleeve to protect it from dust and scratches. Store the LP upright in a cool, dry place to prevent warping.
