This is a censored import version of Dr. Dre's iconic album 2001. Almost 20 years ago, this high - tech sounding album blew me away, and its production values are still unmatched today. The rap world eagerly awaited what Dre would create after 2001. Unfortunately, the much - hyped Detox never came out, and Compton was a disappointment. But don't worry, the two Chronic albums are timeless. Dre and his collaborators avoided fleeting tech references in their verses, unlike their contemporaries. This makes the albums infinitely replayable. Album highlights? Just pour a Chronic Iced Tea and play it from start to finish. It's a must - have. This clean version comes with a digital download and is a limited edition from Aftermath Entertainment (1999 / 2013). Reviewed by Jheri Saltz in 10/2017.
