Day Wave: Headcase / Hard To Read Vinyl LP

Jackson Phillips, the mastermind behind Day Wave, released his first two EPs on limited - edition white vinyl. His breezy indie pop sound debuted in 2015 with 'Headcase', which created a big stir and got him into the festival scene. In 2016, he followed up with 'Hard to Read', a 5 - track EP he wrote, recorded (direct to tape), mixed, and mastered himself. Phillips's songs are warm, breezy, and vibrant, with soothing qualities. His reverbed vocals blend perfectly with shimmery synths, guitars, and upbeat drums. Standout tracks include 'Gone', 'Stuck', 'Deadbeat Girl', 'Drag', 'We Try but We Don't Fit In', and 'Total Zombie'.
