Brownout is a nine - piece Latin funk band from Austin, TX. Founded in 2003 as a side project of the Grammy - winning Grupo Fantasma, they've performed with big names like Shiela E., GZA, Spoon, and Daniel Johnson. Their albums covering other artists have gained recent acclaim. In 2015, their first volume of Black Sabbath covers came out, and in 2018, they released a cover of Public Enemy's Fear of a Black Planet, titled Fear of a Brown Planet. The first collection of Sabbath covers was highly praised for its technical skill and cultural cross - pollination. Even Ozzy was impressed. This vinyl LP features great takes on Sabbath classics like “Fairies Wear Boots”, “Supernaut”, “Sweetleaf”, “Snowblind” and more. “Sabbath Bloody Sabbath” and “Symptom of the Universe” have guest vocals by Ghostland Observatory's Aaron Behrens.
