The sixth studio album from Dinosaur Jr., a band hailing from Amherst, Massachusetts. 'Without A Sound' was first recorded in 1994 and is mostly a solo work by J Mascis. After parting ways with Lou Barlow, he also removed Murph, the band's drummer, for this album. Mascis shows he can handle the drums well, and his guitar playing is a bit more under - stated compared to previous albums. This album has a touch of country twang, with some hidden gems. Mascis has mentioned that his father's passing influenced the recording. 'Without A Sound' is the band's highest - charting album, maybe thanks to the Spike Jonze - directed 'Feel The Pain' video. It has eleven tracks and is released by Vinyl 180 on 180 - gram vinyl with a printed inner sleeve. Features include an 180 - gram pressing, a printed inner sleeve, and it's from the music label Vinyl 180 in 2014. Reviewed by Hank Ohs in 09/2018.

To enjoy this 180g vinyl LP, simply place it on your turntable and use the tonearm to drop the needle gently onto the groove. Make sure your turntable is set up properly and level. When handling the vinyl, always hold it by the edges to avoid getting fingerprints on the playing surface, as this can affect the sound quality. After each use, put the record back in its printed inner sleeve to protect it from dust and scratches. Store the vinyl in a cool, dry place, standing upright to prevent warping. If you notice any dust on the record, use a carbon - fiber brush to gently clean it before playing.
