Description

The 'Reminicent Suite' by American pianist Mal Waldron and Japanese trumpeter Terumasa Hino was first released in 1973 on the well - known Victor label. It's one of Waldron's Japan - only albums over three decades, mostly unavailable outside Japan. This album features two extended tracks, one on each side. The title track on Side A, composed by Waldron, has a dark, brooding heavy groove typical of his early 70s sound. 'Black Forest' on Side B, written by Hino, is a vivid and energetic piece with dense percussion and Hino's signature trumpet tone. Mal Waldron started his career in the early 1950s on the Prestige label, working with greats like Gene Ammons, Jackie McLean, and Charles Mingus. He's most famous for working with Billie Holiday before moving to Europe in the mid - 60s. This 200g black vinyl pressing comes in a gatefold sleeve with an obi strip, includes a printed insert, and is a limited edition, released by BBE in 2024.

To use this vinyl LP, simply place it on a record player. Make sure the record player is properly set up and calibrated. When playing, handle the vinyl by the edges to avoid fingerprints and scratches. After use, gently place the LP back into its gatefold sleeve. Keep the record in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures to prevent warping. Avoid stacking heavy objects on top of the LP. If the vinyl gets dirty, use a proper record cleaning brush to gently remove dust from the grooves. This limited - edition album is a collectible, so handle it with care to preserve its value.
