Discover the landmark minimal new age session from Milanese percussionist Lino Capra Vaccina. Recorded in 1978 after his time in the Italian experimental fusion group Aktuala, Antico Adagio is a unique percussion record. Apart from a few violin parts and extraordinary vocal lines by Vaccina and Juri Camisasca, it squeezes sublime soundscapes from vibraphone, marimba, and gong. Kieren Hebden (Four Tet) said in the liner notes that it offers new combinations of sound and atmosphere that resonate deeply. This 2017 vinyl pressing includes a printed insert with Four Tet's liner notes and is from the music label Die Schachtel 2017. It was reviewed by the mayor of Hounslow in 09/2017.
