The complete, uncut 2011 farewell show by LCD Soundsystem, spanning over three and a half hours, was live - recorded at Madison Square Garden on April 2nd, 2011. James Murphy, Gavilán Rayna Russom, Nancy Whang and the rest of the gang delivered an amazing performance. Murphy himself recorded and mixed it to 1/4' tape specifically for vinyl. With all the band's hits and some surprises, there are 28 tracks in total on 5 records. Each record comes in its own pic sleeve and is housed in a commemorative box. This 2021 new edition is pressed on black 5x vinyl LP (note: actual pressing color and packaging may vary). It's an indie exclusive with a unique sequencing for seamless concert playback across two turntables. The music label is DFA 2021.
To use this 5LP vinyl boxset, first, make sure your turntable is set up correctly. Gently remove a vinyl record from its pic sleeve, place it on the turntable, and start the playback. When you're done with one record, carefully put it back in its sleeve to protect it from dust and scratches. Keep the box in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent warping of the vinyl. When handling the records, hold them by the edges to avoid leaving fingerprints on the playing surface.
