John Prine surprised us after our last Chicago show. Steve Goodman, who'd shared the bill with us, urged us to hear his friend John in Old Town. Despite the late hour and early wake - up, we went. Old Town was deserted, and the club was closing, but the owner let us in. John unpacked his guitar. Amidst the upside - down chairs in the empty tavern, an awkward moment passed. Then he started singing, and from the first line, we knew we were hearing something extraordinary, like discovering Dylan at the start. He sang many songs. It was a rare and great experience. This 180g black vinyl pressing includes a printed insert with full album lyrics. It's from the Atlantic label in 2020.

To use this vinyl LP, first, make sure your record player is clean and in good working condition. Gently place the vinyl on the turntable and set the tonearm on the start of the record.
