Description

In 1966, tenor saxophonist Joe Henderson released the classic 'Mode for Joe,' marking the end of his five outstanding Blue Note leader dates in the 1960s. This album is full of energy. With a septet including Lee Morgan on trumpet, Curtis Fuller on trombone, Bobby Hutcherson on vibraphone, Cedar Walton on piano, Ron Carter on bass, and Joe Chambers on drums, Henderson broadened his musical range. The band gives six powerful performances, playing with high intensity on Henderson's original tracks like 'A Shade of Jade,' 'Caribbean Fire Dance,' and 'Granted,' as well as Morgan's 'Free Wheelin'. Cedar Walton's title track is a modal masterpiece, where Henderson delivers a remarkable solo. This Blue Note Classic Vinyl Edition is in stereo, all - analog, mastered by Kevin Gray from the original master tapes, and pressed on 180g vinyl at Optimal. It was originally released in 1966 and re - issued by Blue Note Records in 2024. Features include 180g black vinyl pressing and an all - analog remaster from the original tapes.

Using this 180g vinyl LP is easy. Just place it on your turntable, gently lower the tonearm onto the record, and enjoy the music. When handling the vinyl, make sure your hands are clean to avoid leaving fingerprints or dirt on it. To keep it in good condition, store it in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat. After each use, put the record back in its sleeve carefully to prevent scratches. If you notice any dust on the vinyl, use a soft, anti - static brush to clean it before playing. That way, you can keep enjoying the amazing music of Joe Henderson's 'Mode For Joe' for a long time.
