Welcome to Cole world! This is J. Cole's 4th full - length album. The title pays homage to 2Pac's classic 'All Eyez On Me'. It starts with a concept, centered around the title track. Cole tells the story of his slain friend, James McMillan Jr., from his crack - slinging days to his death after settling down and starting a family. As the album unfolds, the songs are revealed as life stories McMillan wants his daughter to hear after he's gone. Cole produced almost the whole album, with help from Frank Dukes and Boi - ida. The beats, ranging from boom bap to trap rhythms, are warm, soulful, and jazzy, filling the 10 - track album. J. Cole also shows off his singing skills on this album. It's not high - energy party music, but it's extremely relatable, which is J. Cole's forte. Check out tracks like 'Change', 'She's Mine', 'Neighbor', 'Immortal', and 'Deja Vu' (similar to Bryson Tiller's 'Exchange').
