Description

Mwandishi is one of the most influential combos in electric jazz history. This is a live recording of Herbie Hancock's band at the Juan - les - Pins Jazz Festival in France on July 21st, 1971. It offers a highly progressive modern jazz, blending different elements into an Afro - electric - funk sound journey. Waves of pulsating sounds alternate between tension and release. Live performances of this amazing band often outshine studio recordings. This rare 1971 live recording features Herbie Hancock and his Mwandishi - era band. It's on black vinyl, available for the first time on vinyl. The musicians include Herbie Hancock (p), Bennie Maupin (t. sax, s.sax, b. clarinet, flute), Eddie Henderson (t), Julian Priester (trombone), Buster Williams (b), Billy Hart (d). The music is released by Honey Pie Records in 2021.

To enjoy this vinyl LP, first, make sure your record player is clean and in good working condition. Gently place the LP on the turntable and use the tonearm to lower the needle onto the start of the record. Sit back and let the amazing jazz music play. When you're done listening, carefully lift the tonearm and return it to its rest. Store the LP in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight to prevent warping. Keep the vinyl sleeve clean to protect the record. Avoid touching the playing surface of the vinyl with your fingers as oils from your skin can damage it.
