Two must - have tracks from Herbie Hancock's Head Hunters LP are now available on 12 - inch vinyl for the first time! 'Watermelon Man', with its long looped intro and funky breakdown, is extremely famous and even made it into skate videos. 'Chameleon' is equally engaging, with Herbie showing off great solos on synthesizers, arps, and Rhodes. These two tracks get enough space to shine here. 'Chameleon' takes up the whole A - side in its 16 - minute glory, while 'Watermelon Man' is a 6.5 - minute gem on the flip. This is not a bootleg, but a genuine release with classic Columbia center labels. Any jazz or funk record lover should add this to their collection. It's a 33RPM record from the Columbia label in 2018, reviewed in 01/2019.
