Description

This is a 180g pressing from the Classic Series, featuring one of the most iconic Blue Note records. The cover art is a masterpiece of branding and design. 'A New Perspective' is sure to pique your interest, and that cool car on the cover, with its flowing lines and fixed type, guides your eye right to Donald Byrd. Beyond the visual appeal, the music has real charm. I first heard this in the sample - crazy mid - 90s. Back then, I was too focused to appreciate the soulful groove. But after years of listening to jazz, the voices and arrangements have really grown on me. When Byrd's trumpet enters on 'Cristo' and plays off the piano, it's pure luxury, with the voices framing it perfectly. Vocal arrangements in this jazz record make it less tiring to listen to. This 180g black vinyl is an all - analog remaster cut from the original tapes. It features great musicians like Donald Byrd on trumpet, Hank Mobley on tenor sax, and more. Originally released in 1964, it's now reissued by Blue Note Records in 2024.

To enjoy this Donald Byrd vinyl LP, first, make sure your turntable is clean and in good working condition. Gently remove the record from its sleeve, holding it by the edges to avoid fingerprints. Place it carefully on the turntable and set the tonearm to the start of the record. As you listen, you can sit back and relax, soaking in the wonderful jazz music. When you're done, lift the tonearm gently and return it to its rest. Then, take the record out and put it back in its sleeve. Store the record in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight to prevent warping. Avoid stacking heavy objects on top of it. If the record gets dirty, you can use a vinyl record cleaning brush to gently remove dust and debris.
