Derrick Harriott's version of The Dazz Band's “Let It Whip” slows down to a rocksteady rhythm but keeps the funky analog synth bass and crunchy electronic snare. The flip side is a real gem. Christine Lewin's cover of Mtume's “Juicy Fruit” (wrongly credited to Susan Cadogan on the label) is so well - arranged that it seems like a reggae classic from the start. With deep bass and funky synth stabs behind her angelic voice, it's a double - treat for the dance floor. Hard to find the original, but here's your chance. Ximeno, keep making great stuff!
