Darkside: Darkside EP (Nicolas Jaar, Dave Harrington) Vinyl 10

This is a timely reissue of Darkside's debut EP. In 2011, electronic producer and vocalist Nicolas Jaar teamed up with guitarist Dave Harrington to present these three tracks on Jaar's Clown And Sunset label. These tracks set the stage for Darkside's future music. Harrington's bluesy guitar playing adds soul to Jaar's emotional electronic sounds. The slow - starting opener is deceiving; it's when Jaar's dual vocals (a deep baritone and short falsetto) kick in that you really get the feel. The rest of the EP is filled with Jaar's slow - paced minimalism and Harrington's skillful fretwork. It truly foreshadows what the duo would create later. Music label: Clown And Sunset 2011 / 2014. Using this vinyl is easy. Just place it on your record player and gently drop the needle onto the groove. When handling the vinyl, make sure your hands are clean to avoid getting dirt on it. Store it in a cool, dry place, standing upright to prevent warping. If it gets dirty, you can use a soft, anti - static record brush to gently clean the grooves. Also, be careful when removing it from the sleeve to avoid scratching the surface.
