In 2016, Conor Oberst, famous for his work with Bright Eyes, released
Ruminations. Recorded in Omaha, Nebraska during a recovery period with minimal instruments, it's an intimate full - length album. For
Salutations, Oberst revisits the 10 - song collection, working with a full band to enrich tracks like 'Next Of Kin' and 'Tachycardia'. The simple guitar, piano, and harmonica backdrop in
Ruminations let Oberst's writing shine.
Salutations retains the raw feel of its predecessor. Tracks not on
Ruminations, like 'Too Late to Fixate' and 'Overdue', are also great. There are 117 tracks in total. It comes in a gatefold sleeve with a lyric insert, and is from the Nonesuch label in 2017.
