This 2007 classic album, 'Cendre', makes its vinyl debut. It's the first full - length collaboration between Austrian experimental sound artist Christian Fennesz and legendary producer - composer Ryuichi Sakamoto, before their 2013 release of 'Flumina'. Sakamoto's Debussy - and Satie - reminiscent piano style blends beautifully with Fennesz's powerful mix of shimmering guitar and electronics. Recorded from 2004 - 2006, they exchanged tracks and ideas, either in live shows or digitally, until the final mix in NYC in February 2006. The result is 11 tracks full of satisfying and challenging musical possibilities. It comes as a black double 10' vinyl, housed in a full - color gatefold sleeve, and is from the Touch label (2021).
