Ever wondered what machines sound like when they breathe? Ben Salisbury and Geoff Barrow of Portishead answer this question with their amazing soundtrack for the sci - fi movie Ex Machina. This soundtrack is full of long ambient sounds, swelling pads, and spooky drones. It also has other - worldly melodies and a couple of krautrock - style tunes like those in Barrow's BEAK> project. This is their first official score (unfortunately, their score for the 2012 Dredd movie was unused). The double LP pressing includes the full soundtrack, bonus material such as early demo versions and unused tracks. It comes on limited colored vinyl in a gatefold sleeve with a download code.
