In early 2024, BADBADNOTGOOD was full of fresh creative ideas. They invited close friends and collaborators like touring member Felix Fox - Pappas on keys, and Toronto jazz scene stars Kaelin Murphy on trumpet, Juan Carlos Medrano on percussion, and LA musician Tyler Lott on guitar. They spent an intense and productive week recording at Valentine Studios in LA in February 2024. The outcome is the Mid Spiral series. Originally released digitally in three parts - Chaos, Order, and Growth - earlier this year, it's now available as a double LP. The Mid Spiral suites blend instrumental jazz roots with a cross - genre approach, mixing hip - hop, neo - soul, psychedelic, and funk. The trio added more musicians for a collaborative and rich new sound. Three distinct moods - Chaos, Order, and Growth - emerged from the recordings, reflecting the musicians' personal lives and the world around them. This black double vinyl pressing includes a printed insert and is from XL Recordings 2024.
