Earlier this year at SOB's, 6IX9INE (along with Casanova, just a day after they made up) suddenly appeared on stage next to the DJ booth. I was shocked and asked for a pic, but pressed the wrong button at first. Thankfully, he let me take another one. I thought he was nice. I had 'Billy' ready, but he politely asked to do 'Gummo' for his impromptu performance. The energy he brought was amazing! The crowd, who weren't initially there for him, really got into it, and he even crowd - surfed for the last 40 - 50 seconds of the song. He's controversial, problematic, and the biggest troll in pop culture right now. But in 2018, as a rap/music fan, you can't ignore his colorful persona and aggressive, urgent sound. The question is, can we separate his music from his personal/legal issues? By the way, check out Kanye's new album too. This vinyl comes in rainbow color and includes a digital download of 'Day69'. It's released by Scumgang Records in 2018. Reviewed by pocari papi 08/18.
