After Mad Professor's successful dub mixes of the Protection album (No Protection), the band asked for a similar project for their hit album Mezzanine. For some reason, the full album never got released. Some tracks were on the 12” singles supporting Mezzanine over 20 years ago, but several remained unheard. Now, they're out in full for the first time. Mad Professor works magic with a track's core elements. In 'Risingson (Setting Sun Dub 2)', he subtly rearranges parts and delays the snare in a unique way. For 'Angel (Angel Dust)', he creates a new groove, detaching it from its original style. The 'Teardrop' dub recycles little from the original. There are also dubs of other songs and non - album cuts. This is a great alternative to a new Massive Attack album. It comes on limited - edition fuchsia vinyl, with original artwork by Aidan Hughes and additional design by Robert Del Naja.
