Director Joseph Kosinski has a penchant for having French electronic acts score his movies. After choosing Daft Punk for 2010's 'Tron: Legacy', he turned to M83 for the 'Oblivion' OST. This Tom Cruise film gets an epic soundtrack from Antibes-based Anthony Gonzalez. His synth-driven tracks aim for the stratosphere's outer edges, yet many have a retro feel, reminiscent of 80s movies in structure and timbre, with glassy arpeggios driving the rhythm. Using this vinyl is easy. Just place it on your turntable and let the needle gently rest on the grooves to enjoy the music. Keep it in its gatefold sleeve when not in use to protect it from scratches and dust. If you notice any dust on the vinyl, use a soft brush to gently clean it before playing.
