Description

This late - seventies album from a musical prodigy is a must - have. 'Soul Fire' is an explosive opening track in reggae history, with energy that's hard to match. The album takes you on a trippy journey, with a sound described by Reggae Monkey as if Perry 'pissed on the master tapes and stuck them in the oven before pressing'. It's even been called the 'The Sgt. Pepper's of Ganja'. The track sequence is diverse; 'Evil Tongues', 'Curly Locks' (a cover of a Studio One hit), and 'Ghetto Sidewalk' seem like they're from different producers. On the B - side, 'Free Up The Weed' has a bit of a Bob Marley vibe, and 'Yu Squeez' is a great chatty track. The title track is like 'gypsy music on a broken phonograph'. With 10 tracks, it's an unforgettable experience. This is a 180g orange - colored vinyl, individually stamped and numbered. It's a limited edition of 1000 from Music On Vinyl 2021. Reviewed by the mgmnt 05/2008.

To use this vinyl LP, just place it on your turntable and gently drop the needle on the starting groove. Make sure your turntable is set up properly and leveled for the best sound. When handling the vinyl, always hold it by the edges to avoid getting fingerprints on the playing surface, as this can affect the sound quality. After each use, store the vinyl back in its sleeve to protect it from dust and scratches. Keep it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures to maintain its condition over time. Enjoy the unique and diverse sounds of this limited - edition Lee Perry album!
