I'm super stoked about this! We've got new music from Erykah Badu! Producers have been bugging her for years to make another album, and finally, she said yes, giving us 'New Amerykah (Part One)'. This album has a 70s soundtrack vibe, like it could be right next to 'Black Caesar'. But it still has that sweet, jazzy, soulful Erykah we all adore. With production from Madlib, 9th Wonder, Questlove, and SA-RA, it ranges from powerful anthems to insightful R&B. My favorites are 'Soldier' and 'Me' for their smooth sound, and Madlib's 'The Healer' is a real banger with a fresh new soul sound. It's a must - have! This release includes a hidden bonus track 'Honey' not on the tracklist, comes as a 'shades of purple' colored double vinyl pressing, is on vinyl for the first time in over 10 years, is housed in a gatefold sleeve, and is a limited edition. It was originally released in 2007 and re - issued by Motown Records in 2022. Reviewed by RikRok in March 2008.

To enjoy this vinyl, first, make sure your turntable is clean and in good working condition. Gently place the vinyl on the turntable and use the tonearm to drop the needle at the start of the record. Listen at a volume that suits your preference. When you're done, lift the tonearm carefully and return it to its rest. Store the vinyl in a cool, dry place, standing upright in its gatefold sleeve to prevent warping. Since it's a limited - edition item, handle it with care to maintain its value. And don't forget to check out the hidden bonus track 'Honey' for an extra musical treat.
