Discover the second LP collection of Emahoy Tsege Mariam Gebru's early solo piano pieces, recorded in the 1960s and now available again. This Ethiopian composer was truly unique, blending elements of Erik Satie, Debussy, Coptic Ethiopian Church liturgy, and Ethiopian traditional music. Her piano music is incredibly moving! Originally self - released in Germany in small runs to raise funds for orphanages, war widows' support groups, and other good causes, these compositions are performed by the composer herself. We're honored to present this album in partnership with the EMAHOY TSEGE MARIAM MUSIC PUBLISHER and Foundation, continuing her mission of using music to help the marginalized. Features solo piano works by a late Ethiopian composer, a black vinyl pressing. Original release was in 2016, and it's now on the Mississippi Records label (2024).

To enjoy this vinyl LP, first, make sure your turntable is clean and in good working condition. Gently place the LP on the turntable, and use the tonearm to lower the needle onto the starting groove. Listen at a comfortable volume to fully appreciate the beautiful solo piano music. When not in use, store the LP in its sleeve and keep it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent warping. Handle the LP by its edges to avoid fingerprints on the playing surface, as this can affect the sound quality. If the LP gets dirty, use a record cleaning brush to gently remove dust.
