Father John Misty is back with his fifth album, Chloe And The Next 20th Century, the first new music since 2018's God's Favorite Customer. Written and recorded from August to December 2020, with arrangements by Drew Erickson, this album features a reunion of Father John Misty (Josh Tillman) and producer Jonathan Wilson. Dave Cerminara returns as engineer and mixer. The basic tracks were recorded at Wilson's Five Star Studios, and strings, brass, and woodwinds were added at United Recordings. Singles include 'Funny Girl,' 'Q4,' 'Goodbye Mr. Blue,' and 'Kiss Me (I Loved You).' This limited - edition deluxe 2xLP box set comes with exclusive, expanded artwork in a 28 - page hardcover book. Both LPs are pressed on clear red vinyl. It also includes a poster by Rafa Orrico and two bonus 7” singles. Lana Del Rey covers 'Buddy's Rendezvous,' and Jack Cruz (an alias of David Lynch) covers 'Kiss Me (I Loved You).' Music label: Sub Pop 2022.
To use this product, simply take the vinyl records out of the hardcover book carefully. Place the LP on your turntable, and gently drop the needle to start enjoying the music. For the bonus 7” singles, use a compatible turntable as well. When handling the records, make sure your hands are clean to avoid leaving fingerprints or dirt on the vinyl. Store the box set in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent the vinyl from warping and the artwork from fading. After each use, put the records back in their sleeves and close the hardcover book properly. Don't stack heavy objects on top of the box set to keep it in good condition.
