After the release of Drop Nineteens' 30-year first album Hard Light and the re-issue of their 1992 shoegaze classic Delaware, we're thrilled to unveil Drop Nineteens' 1991 LP. This record features the band's first two demo sessions sent out on cassette to labels in 1991, creating a stir in the UK music press and sparking a rush to sign them. After signing with Caroline Records, they chose to write a new record, Delaware, leaving the 1991 songs untouched. The tracks are filled with layered guitars and buried vocal harmonies, showing the band's early charm similar to UK contemporaries like Slownave and Ride. Recorded with a low-fi allure, these songs reveal an ambitious young band ready for a breakthrough. It's the 1st official release of their mythical early recordings on grey colored vinyl, a limited edition from Wharf Cat Records 2024.
